A state government tax charged on property transactions, paid before the deed is registered.

Where can I check the current stamp duty rate?

Rates are set by the Registration Department and can change — always confirm the current rate on the official NGDRS or IGR Assam website before paying. This app's Stamp Duty tool gives an estimate only.
